Description

The standard Timbersled Mountain Horse ski bolt has a shank that is too short to reach from one side of the ski saddle to the other side. This means that the bolt rides on the shank on one side of the saddle and on the threads on the other side. This will result in the threads wearing into the saddle on that side. Over time this will make the ski to spindle connection sloppy and cause handling issues. The aircraft quality bolt provided in this kit has a shank that is long enough so that the bolt rides on the shank on both sides of the ski saddle. You also get a aircraft quality nyloc nut and two structural steel washers (one for each side of saddle). All hardware is yellow zinc plated.
